Silver DofE Expedition
The Year 10 DofE students had a successful practice expedition in the Peak District
The last weekend of the Easter break saw the first expedition in this year’s PHS DofE calendar. Traditional April sunshine and showers greeted 50 students on their practice expedition in the Peak District. Starting in Castleton and finishing – two days and many miles later –in Hayfield, the students stopped for overnight camps in the Hope Valley and in Edale; hitting the high spots of Lose Hill, Mam Tor and Kinder Scout along the way. The Silvers, in terms of great spirits, healthy pace and superb navigation have set this year’s bar very high. Well done to a very strong group.
