Poynton High School is a school; that believes in equality and celebrates diversity.  We treat all students, staff, governors and visitors equally and fairly regardless of people's age, disabilities, sex, race, religion, gender identity and sexual orientation in line with the Equality Act of 2010.

This includes work on challenging sexism through a range of activities, running groups such as our Pride Youth Network, a student equality groups that feeds back on school life and develops projects to help ensure that all members of our school community are treated equally and fairly.

Other student groups include our sixth form Diversity Ambassadors who work to create visibility of minority groups within the school and help us promote an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.

In 2021 we launched the Educate - Challenge - Empower Charter with students as part of our drive to build a school in which we truly celebrate diversity and stand up to any form of prejudice, and discrimination.
