Dear Parents/Carers

Unfortunately, I have had to make the decision to keep Poynton High School closed today (Wednesday 30^th January). We had initially thought we could open when an assessment was carried out at 5.30am this morning and this was updated on our website. However, since 5.30am a lot of snow has fallen and a significant number of staff have communicated that they are unable to get into school. In addition, the bus companies have subsequently communicated severe difficulties. It is therefore with much regret that I have had to make the decision to close today in the interests of the safety of students and staff both on site and in the travelling to school. 

Further update will be communicated in due course regarding tomorrow.
